April brought Outset PR a feature in another roundup of top crypto marketing firms, a shortlist nomination from the industry’s key journalism and research association, a partnership with one of the global Web3 events, and a few other updates we’re excited about. More on all of this in our traditional monthly digest.

Industry recognition

April gave us very different kinds of industry visibility, and honestly, that’s what made it feel especially good. Some mentions are about market positioning, some about showing up in the right professional rankings. And some hit closer to the heart, because they recognize the actual thinking behind the work.

First, CoinGape ranked Outset PR among the top three crypto marketing firms in its April 2026 list, highlighting our global media reach and focus on strategically distributed, SEO-friendly content. The publication also emphasized the agency’s full-spectrum approach, spanning long-term PR, influencer marketing, brand development, and tier-1 pitching.

We also have a thrilling industry moment coming up in May: the Clutch Leader Awards. Outset PR is in the running, as we already show up across five in-platform categories:

  • Top Investor Relations Firms,
  • Top Web3 Marketing Agencies,
  • Top PR Firms for Fintech,
  • Top Blockchain Marketing Agencies,
  • and Top Crypto Marketing Agencies.

This presence puts us in the exact comparison set where we want our work, client experience, and market fit to speak for themselves.

And then there’s the one we’re particularly proud of. Mike Ermolaev’s BeInCrypto op-ed, “Why ‘Buy the Rumor, Sell the News’ Feels Broken in Today’s Crypto Market,” was shortlisted for the ACJR Awards in the Best Crypto Op-Ed category.

ACJR is a professional community built around crypto journalism and research, so recognition there comes from people who actually care about the quality of the argument. Seeing Mike’s work included alongside other serious industry voices is both a proud team moment and a reminder of why we keep investing in opinion-led, data-backed thinking.

Previously, ACJR acknowledged the detailed breakdown of Cointelegraph’s traffic collapse across all of its language versions by our senior media analyst Maximilian Fondé.

Editorial highlights

Alice Frei, Outset PR’s head of security & compliance, looked with her legal lens at Discord, Telegram, and invite-only chats and explained why Web3 teams shouldn't treat them too casually. The piece answers why “private” doesn’t mean low-risk when messages can be saved, forwarded, screenshotted, and later interpreted as part of the project’s communication footprint.

Another of Alice's focus points this month was whitepaper – probably one of the most romanticized formats in crypto, and also one of the easiest to overload with legal risk.

We also published an overview on how AI quietly sabotages writing in the most annoying everyday way: duplicated thoughts, fake transitions, dull and empty wording, and different kinds of stylistic clichés. If you understand the principle of these AI-ish flaws, you can easily catch and fix them.

Finally, there’s a slightly provocative but very important piece: “Not every Web3 brand needs PR, and here’s why.” Together with Outset PR’s senior PR lead Seva Nau, we unpacked what agencies don’t always say out loud: media coverage can only amplify what’s already there. If the team doesn’t know what visibility should achieve, PR turns into expensive noise.

From now on, our practical Tips & Tricks on Web3 PR are now running as a LinkedIn newsletter. For those who find it easier to follow them directly in the feed, that’s the place to subscribe.

Events and community

Outset PR also became a sponsor of Istanbul Blockchain Week 2026, which will take place on June 2-3. The event is expected to bring together Web3 founders, investors, builders, policy voices, and other industry leaders for discussions across the topics that are shaping the next market cycle like layer-2 scaling and high-performance chains, stablecoins and payment infrastructure, Bitcoin DeFi, and the BTCFi ecosystem.

What’s next

As part of our Web3 communication talks, we’re preparing several more interviews with some of the most prominent voices in the industry to explore what good PR and marketing look like nowadays.

On top of that, several conversations with major blockchain influencers and data providers are already planned, and some exciting collaborations are in the works – more on that soon.
